Prophet Robert C. Blakes, Sr.

 

Prophet Robert C. Blakes, Sr. is the founder of New Home Family of Churches. His prophetic and apostolic ministry has impacted the nation through television, radio and the establishing of multiple churches and pastors. He delivered the word of God in the greater New Orleans area for nearly five decades. The ministry grew into a membership of over 10,000. The ministry has extended its reach to Baton Rouge, Hammond, Algiers, and Houston, Texas.

     Prophet Blakes touched the nation through his "Taking The Kingdom" telecast. His prophetic anointing inspired thousands of ministers to flow in the freedom of the Holy Spirit. Prophet Blakes introduced the Baptist Church in the Gulf Coast area to a pentecostal, spirit filled approach to ministry. Prophet Blakes bought the first locally black owned Christian radio station in New Orleans, KKNO 750AM.

    He and his son's have established a network of churches known as "The Family". Today the Family is expanding and reaching out to churches across the nation to partke of the anointing that is uniquely New Home Ministries.  At his passing in April of 2013 thousands attended his homegoing celebration. He is yet heralded as one of God's greatest generals.
